Summary
A hunt takes Estinien across the Highlands, but a cold, bitter storm makes him take shelter at Camp Dragonhead. Haurchefant is as happy to see him as always, his warmth rivaling that of the roaring fireplace. Estinien isn't safe for long, though. The young Lord begins asking too many questions. Questions about Aymeric. Dangerous questions.
"You wouldn't know anything about our friend's mystery lover, would you? Why, it wouldn't happen to be you, would it? Or do you think it's me?"
The danger only grows when Aymeric himself arrives. Haurchefant's damned curiosity grows too great.

Summary

For his own safety, Dion is taught to suppress his powers and distance himself from all courtly affairs—compelled to watch and admire the Rosfield brothers only from afar.
But the call of Bahamut and a far greater purpose grows too strong. When Dion comes of age at fifteen, he presents himself as a Shield recruit, hoping to serve directly under First Shield Clive Rosfield and become protector of Joshua Rosfield, Dominant of the Phoenix and soon-to-be crowned Archduke of Rosaria.

Summary
Life for Joshua has been grand these past few years, and a surprising reunion with a childhood friend seems to be the sign that his days will continue to grow brighter. Dion finds that his heart feels lighter around Joshua, and that meeting him again after all these years has set his future on a new course. Unfortunately, the consequence of their reunion is the stirring of a shadow neither knew already connected them to each other.
