    ‘As long as the abominations continue to rake their nasty claws through the lives of the innocent – their work has nigh but begun. Come hell or high water; they would stop at nothing to destroy the cancerous growths haunting the Xianzhou.’

    A novel retelling of the tragic events following the Luminary Wardance ca. 7300 until the Sedition of Imbibitor Lunae in the year 7379 and the ensuing fallout. The focus lies on the period of active duty of the military strike team known as The High-Cloud Quintet; how it formed, the campaigns it partook in, and how it ultimately broke to pieces. All information is based on the available records and a whole lot of speculation.

    (Researching this has shaved… several years off of my life…)

    Edit: The Title has been changed from "Come Hell or High Water" to "Breaking Cauldrons, Sinking Ships" in reference to the Chinese four-word idiom "破釜沉舟" (pò fǔ chén zhōu).
