    Orochimaru is still a practical sadist with pedophilic undertones, so you know, know even a "reformed" man is still going to have some thoughts and meditations you might find uncomfortable. And shinobi society has some fucked up expectations, and I have no issue elaborating upon it.
    But I don't think the story is grim or bleak. The characters are just in real fucked up lives. I mean for this to be a happier story than the tags tell, and that even a dark person can be quite good if they try.
