Summary
Secrets are just one of many things sabotaging Aerith’s relationships, even if she doesn’t quite realize the extent of it. It’s not like there’s anything else pressing in on them.

“Right! You have her, and you have them. But…” Deanna leaned closer into Laudna as she continued, lowering her voice. “But I think I know someone else who might be feeling pretty scared and alone right now too.”
Laudna looked at her confused for a moment before realization hit her. She followed Deanna’s gaze to the Liliana, who, stripped of all pretense and mystique, looked… vulnerable. Fragile and frightened. Her brows were furrowed as she hunched over Imogen. She seemed to Laudna to be a wilting flower in some forgotten crevice, stretching solely for the guiding light that was her daughter. In that moment, Laudna had never understood a person more intrinsically.

The process of expelling Predathos proves to be a harrowing challenge, leaving Imogen's very essence rended. In order to restore her and reclaim their simple cottage life, Laudna must enter Imogen's mind and gather the fractured pieces of her psyche.
