Summary
When Lord Voldemort cast the Killing Curse on Lily Potter, he expected victory. Instead, he awoke inside a dark cupboard, staring at a crying child on a small bed. Green eyes met his own. Voldemort stilled. Harry Potter.
But something was… different. He was different. No longer the Dark Lord, but a mere fragment of a soul—a shadow bound to the boy who was destined to be his downfall. And yet, as time passed, as he observed, taught, and guided the child, something unthinkable happened. Affection. Pride. A fierce, undeniable urge to protect, to nurture.
Then, the truth struck like lightning. He was not the true Voldemort. The original still lurked out there, waiting, hunting… for his boy.

Tom would not allow it. He would rise again—as a Dark Lord, or as something far more dangerous.
For the first time in his existence, Lord Voldemort had something he placed above himself. And he would burn the world itself before letting anyone take Harry from him.

Summary

Harry hadn’t even realised that he had spoken out loud until Snape responded.
“It varies, depending on your tastes.”
Harry blinked at the man in confusion. “You’ve tried monster before?”
“Of course,” Snape scoffed. “Almost all Hogwarts students have at some stage, it’s why it had to be added to the sex education talk.”
Or: when a seemingly innocent musing in detention leads Harry on a very unexpected (and very dubious) path.
