She sighed and was about to ask for the check when an intoxicating smell penetrated her senses. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a hand appear behind her, clutching a piece of paper between long, soft-looking fingers. She turned slightly, almost swallowing her tongue as she saw that the woman she had been lusting after was an inch away from her, looking even more breathtaking up close.
Dark eyes glittered devilishly. "Ten dollars," the woman said, leaving Tina confused and a little aroused at the same time. Her voice was... beautiful.
Beneath the delicate fingers was an exquisite drawing, "in carbon, perhaps?" She thought to herself. It was a drawing of her. Of Tina. And God, she had always thought of herself as pretty, but in this paper... she looked otherworldly. It was overwhelming.
She reached for her purse. "Only if you stay for a drink," she said as confidently as she could, and the blinding smile she received in response took her breath away.
