This is my little thing for the Sonadow Exchange 2025!!! It's a mini comic one-shot in the future. Think of it like family shenanigans but there's angst sprinkled in there!
Shadow's worries force him to confront Sonic who for once WON'T try to deflect it with humor (he absolutely will).

Mecha Sonic Mark II wakes up in ruins—his body broken, his directives incomplete. Stranded on Scrapnik Island, a supposed "paradise" for discarded badniks, he refuses to accept this fate. But Sigma, a war machine with an unsettling eagerness to befriend him, insists there’s another way to exist.
Mecha isn’t lost. He isn’t broken. He isn’t one of them.
…Right?
basically a oneshot of how Mecha's first meeting goes with Sigma from Scrapnik Island but I make it more interesting by having him wake up immediately before he actually gets repaired.

Tails realized with mounting dread that he might need to offer Knuckles help. /Knuckles!/ He was good at pretty much everything… except anything to do with technology. But other than that, he could do anything! Except… he couldn’t tie laces.
But some species just weren’t built for stuff like that! Their fingers were too short or their claws too long or they had webbed fingers or… whatever! The point was it happened plenty on other planets and there were usually other options available. Apparently not here though. Here, it looked like it wasn’t something people really thought about. Maybe that was why Knuckles was being so quiet… across the galaxy, people would look at his mitts and his snap shoes and /know/.
Here Knuckles had to admit he needed help. And he never needed help. He was the one who gave help. That’s probably why Mom and Dad hadn’t thought to offer… and why he wasn’t asking now.

Tom and Maddie Wachowski were, by far, the most puzzling clients Dr. Alice Burdett ever had. One was a police officer. The other a vet. They were a loving couple living a modest life a few towns over in Green Hills. A town that had recently stopped giving out information to anyone beyond its borders.
And they'd come in to discuss their son.
They didn't give her a name. They didn't tell her what he looked like. Only that he needed help.
Dr. Alice Burdett had been a therapist long enough to identify trauma. And their child was absolutely, totally, and significantly traumatized. And she could work with that.
"Right," she said, clicking her pen, watching the helpless parents over her notebook. "Let's start at the beginning."
