Some people are meant to be strangers you meet in a foreign town. Some strangers are meant to be remembered as a moment. A fragment. A possibility.

Summary
Something about that, the casual confession that she thought Daniela was “the hottest girl in the place,” or the tone she used, so innocent that she couldn't tell if it was fake, or perhaps the fact that she said it right after the most awkward interaction Daniela had had in months, or that a girl who looked so ethereal had been talking to her for so long and she still couldn't get a single word out of her mouth, made her blush completely and caused the panic she was feeling, fictitious just a couple of seconds ago, settle definitively in her chest with a seriousness that was too much for her liking. The worst part of it all: Manon definitely noticed.

Summary
This wasn’t a place she frequented. Outside of UST, you’d usually find her loitering around Ateneo or La Salle, pretending to study while her friends were in class. But UPD? That was dangerous territory. Mostly because Sophia Laforteza would run her out of campus the second she found out Manon was here. It wasn’t like they hated each other, exactly. They tolerated each other’s presence enough during weekly hangouts somewhere in Manila, usually sitting at opposite ends of the table while Dani and Megan forced them into the same group photo. But it’s not like they were friends either.
Their first meeting had set the tone. It was at an architecture event hosted by a UP alumni group that invited freshmen from different universities. Sophia had been confidently practicing her German introduction under her breath, only for Manon to overhear and correct her pronunciation mid-sentence. Sophia had blinked at her, looked at her ID, before scoffing out an irritated, “Thank you, Manon,” like her name itself tasted sour on her tongue. They’d been bickering ever since.
