That gave him pause. “Okay. And we’re doing that because…?”
You didn’t answer immediately. Just exhaled through your nose, your gaze still locked on the window like it might offer an escape. Satoru flicked his eyes over for a second, about to repeat himself, but then your chin wobbled. You pressed your lips together like a kid trying to tough it out, but it didn’t hold. A breath hitched; your shoulders trembled. And just like that, you folded. A soft, wet sob broke from your chest like it had been waiting hours for permission to escape.

Your hands found his chest, fingers splayed. His shirt was soft cotton, the skin beneath warmer than you expected. You tilted your head up in the dark and pressed your lips gently just beneath the curve of his jaw, almost like a question, giving him time to jerk away.

Outside, the rain had intensified, drumming hard against the house.

Conversation stopped. The group froze, heads turning. Another knock, this one louder. Urgent.
Turbo Granny grunted from her corner. "Who the hell could be knocking in weather like this?" she muttered, not bothering to sit up.
Momo stood, glancing back at Seiko, who had already risen silently from her cushion. “I got it,” Momo said, padding barefoot down the hall.
The door creaked open to reveal Zuma, soaked to the bone. His short hair dripped, and even with an umbrella, his jacket clung to his frame.
“Momo, finally! Why the hell don’t you answer your phone!?”

Summary
Rin always tries to be the best Class Representative she can be. That's especially the case when it comes to protecting her fellow classmates. She's noticed lately that Momo has been hanging around Ken (or "Okarun" as Mom calls him) a lot, and has definitely been trying to bully him. So one day when she overhears Momo yelling at poor Ken in the hallway during lunch she can't help but want to step in. Unfortunately for her, she might've misunderstood the situation and walked in on something she hadn't expected.
