Agatha smiled. With her teeth all out. She looked around. Because for sure there was some hidden camera somewhere. This Had to be some sort of prank.
“What are you talking about.” She felt like she had just escaped a mental ward hospitalization place. Was this how lab rats felt? She should go vegan in solidarity with The Rats.
“You’re currently pregnant with my child.” The hot woman who looks vaguely familiar said.
Agatha looked at her and, well, Agatha, she started laughing.

Agatha goes to donate her eggs at an ob-gyn clinic to pay for her student loans for her bachelor in Musical Theatre, but accidentally gets famous musical composer Rio Vidal's fertilized egg transferred into her uterus.

"Can you not see that we’re closed?" Agatha says without turning to face the fucker.
"Oh I’m actively choosing to ignore that sign" The person replies and–Fuck.
They recognize that voice.
This was their circus.
Agatha turns and – yup. They lock eyes with Rio.
That is their monkey.
"Oh brother" Agatha deadpans.

Carol feels the confusion slip onto her face. Nervousness creeps up her spine again. “Me?”
“I know everything that anybody has ever thought about you, Carol. Every memory. Every feeling. Helen. Your ex-girlfriends. Your dentist. It’s like I have a Carol encyclopedia in my head.”
Carol had thought that she was done experiencing fresh horrors. What a nightmare it is to realize that she is not. “Oh, god.” She says.
“Oh, god,” Zosia agrees.
After they manage to break Zosia free of the hive, Zosia and Carol try to navigate the field of landmines that is their relationship.

Summary
Carol Sturka, a novelist and English professor, struggles with grief and isolation after the death of her wife. Upon her return to work, Carol discovers she is now forced to share her classroom with Zosia Rybak, an ESL instructor. Initially resentful, Carol learns that Zosia admires her writing and specifically requested to work with her. Time heals, and even though Carol's wounds are deep, she learns that there's something still left for her to pursue.
