    Summary

Jason made a deal with Bruce, no killing, and there would be no more conflict between them. At least on patrol. Jason reasoned it would be easier to accomplish his goals without constantly fighting Batman along the way.

It didn’t change anything, not really. Not until he found an old gift he never knew about and Bruce asked him to dogsit Titus while he and Damian were out of town.

Not until the Lazarus Pit started bothering him again.

AKA: My take on a Jason rejoins the family fic.

I loved how the Lazarus Pit and mental health was portrayed. Despise the very long wait to Bruce and Jason really interact face to face, the wait was necessary for the development of Jason. Also, how lovely is Jason taking care of Titus.

    Summary

“Bruce, this is not what you think it is,” Jason says into the cellphone a minute later. “You need to turn around, we’ve got a problem.”

A fourth person, one immediately recognizable, is pictured on the final page. The last person is not facing the camera, instead they are intently staring at the blue of a computer screen.

It is Jason's own head of black hair framed by the narrow lines of bookshelves, turned away and unaware.

"A big one, can't emphasize that enough. You need to pick me up, now."

Little handwriting, the kind that is halfway to cursive, lines the bottom of the photograph, and it's written in blue ink- maybe from a ballpoint pen.

    Please, be more careful.

Beautiful writing. Author is very attentive to small details. Intriguing plot. One of the best AUs that Jason didn’t go to Ethiopia.
