Summary
As a final stand in a war they never stood a chance of winning, Uzumaki Naruto chooses to use a forbidden blood seal to rip through the fabric of space and time itself rather than admit defeat. Summary
Merlin comes to Longstead. He is a physician (sort of), a magician (not out loud), a wanderer. What brings him to that particular village at that particular time, is none of these things. He has a task to fulfill, and it's not his destiny. His destiny is not his business.
He’s stretched out on a bank of grass, out beyond the village wall.
Merlin is looking for plants that can be both magical and quiescent, he can make something innocuous seeming, betulia, belladonna. With the right spell, he can prolong the lives of the men and women laid out in village behind him. He will keep to himself just how close to the brink many of the villagers are. He can feel it, the edge of something encroaching, something ending, the smell of flesh.

He isn’t a seer, never mastered the art of scrying, but even he knows something is looming over the horizon.
