He hooked a lazy finger around one. “What, these things? Well… we're all a puppet to our purpose, aren’t we?” As if in response, the threads went taut around his neck, forcing his chin unnaturally upwards. “Bet your strings are even tighter.”
Tenna swallowed hard. A million angry questions rattled his casing but his tongue stilled at the sight of the strings. They led Spamton back into the living room. Tenna slowly followed.
“Hey! That's enough!” Tenna finally found his voice, shakily forcing it out of his speakers. “You owe me some answers.”
“Sorry, Ant. I'm just your little mailman tonight. I've got a message.”
“A message?”
“You're going to be visited by three Ghosts of Christmas.”
It sounded ridiculous, such a whimsical phrase leaving Spamton’s mouth in his gruff tone. But Spamton’s smirk vanished as he spoke.
“Are we really doing this?” Tenna whined.

Summary
Written for dresden_kink round 4 for the following challenge:
Marcone hates the thought of Harry being in a relationship with Thomas. Mainly because if he had Harry's attention he'd never let him go. It drives him insane that Thomas just doesn't seem to care that much but Harry seems to love him anyway.
Marcone concocts a plan to make Harry happy--by making sure Thomas makes Harry happy--no matter how much it pains Marcone to do so. If/when that doesn't work there's always the last resort--steal Harry away to do it himself.
Bonus if Harry is completely attached to Marcone and finds his machinations cutely endearing/baffling/disturbing/irritating.
