Summary
“Yeah, I don’t wanna put any unnecessary pressure on him. It’s enough that he’s back after all this time,” Mobius explained, breathing another little sigh of relief at the reminder that Loki’s back, after a year of sitting on that throne at the end of Time before they’d found a solution.
“Don’t be absurd,” Sylvie scoffed, draining her glass. “What pressure could you possibly be putting on him just having a chat?”

Summary
Protecting an entire train of stagecoaches was always going to be a strain on his crew, especially through this territory. They’re good, but they’re not that good. Mobius should have insisted that the client cough up the money to bring on another couple of folks, but they’d been reluctant and Mobius hadn’t wanted to risk the job going to someone else. And really, against most bandits, they’d probably have been fine.
They weren’t up against most bandits, though.
(Or, an Old West AU in which Mobius encounters one of the most notorious bandits around, and a constant thorn in his side.)

Summary
The elevator dinged, and Mobius glanced up from drying his last glass. While the hotel bar was technically open, it was uncommon for someone to come in so early on a weekday. He was half-expecting a businessman down on his luck, but his heart leapt at the sight of his favorite customer in the lounge’s mirrored wall.

Summary
In the weeks leading up to the holiday party, he overhears a lot about Loki’s distaste for the ugly sweater theme. Loki even goes so far as to try to propose to the company higher-ups that they should do a black tie theme instead, which is pretty amusing. Many people have tried to suggest other themes over the years, but the ugly sweaters are too entrenched. All have failed, and Loki is no different on that account.

Summary
“I’m Loki. I’ll be your new personal detail.”
Mobius figured as much, but it would have been nice to get some advance warning. Also: “Are you eating my toast?”
Loki looks down at the toast in his hand. “Guess so,” he answers nonchalantly before looking up at Mobius again. “I made coffee.”
(Preeminent author and criminal psychologist Dr. Mobius M. Mobius is a key witness in the trial of the century, which has put a substantial price on his head. When he ends up assigned a devastatingly attractive and fascinating personal bodyguard, he finds himself desperately trying to juggle his work, his growing and inconvenient feelings, and oh yeah, all those attempts on his life.)
