Summary

Summary
(Used to be just for MerMay, got out of hand lol)
Grian runs a marine rehabilitation center that rescues and takes in sick, injured or abandoned merfolk from around the island who have no place to go. He has dedicated himself to saving mer and learning about them to help them to recover until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild.
His job gets complicated when he saves an abandoned mer from a terrible fate who doesn't behave like any of the merfolk before him and Grian's patience is put to the test when others in the facility cause him more trouble.

Summary: Scar is found in a septic water basement and brought back to health in Grian’s facility. After a bunch of trials, Pearl and him end up in the ocean, adventuring back to her pod. Scar ends up sick and back at the facility and finally finds a purpose. -

Summary
Thump thump thump.
Heavy bass rippled through the water in time with Scar’s heart, each wave of the music sending a sharp pain through his skull. He hated the way it reverberated through him, the way it seemed to overpower any other sound. He flicked his fins anxiously, straining his ears beyond the thudding bass to listen for his cue. They were about to start talking about him, and he had to mold into his performance. Smile like how the humans do, make sure his eyes sparkle, make sure the light hits his tail just right so that his skin shone.
A shrill beep sliced through the water and he flicked his tail sharply, sending himself through the surface. The sound multiplied, hammering against his ears, but he ignored it, flashing a smile towards the audience. He turned in the air and dove back into the water, whipping around surface again. His tail ached, but he couldn’t devote any attention to it. He had to keep performing.

Such a beautiful piece of work that will definitely need to be revisited
Summary: Grian finds Scar at a performance which is harming him. He gets Gem to help him save Scar. After many issues (and many new traumas), Scar ends up happy in a facility with Grian as his forever friend. Happy ever after! <3
