Summary
If asked, you probably wouldn’t say you were smarter than other people, because that would be rude. You had been raised better than that. But you did know that, through some twist of luck, by seeing a few things you shouldn’t and falling in with the right internet boards, that you did know more than them. That you could see things other people couldn’t.
You had been lied to- were still being lied to- by everyone. From the cia to the mayor to the lady down the street who walked dogs commercially and stared at you whenever you left your house. You’d been taking notes on all of it, and the cork boards in your garage had been immensely helpful for keeping track of it all. Hell, you’d even nearly finished putting together your complete picture!

Her breath was ragged and shaky and made the pain worse and she wanted to scream. It was immensely, immensely unfair that she couldn’t. She needed to be quiet. And even above her own uncontrolled noise she could swear she could hear the footsteps behind her.

It had known it would do anything, anything at all, to protect its creatures, and to see that raw awe on the faces of its devout again.
God was proud. Why wouldn’t it be, when it could break that which its devout desired between its palms, when it was so good at it? It had held its sword in its hand since the day it had been broken from that rock and moved with it like a thundercrack.
God was, for the first time in its existence, curious.
