Summary
What if Suguru had a younger a brother and never defected from Jujutsu society? Instead his friends intervene in time and he became a teacher with Satoru and they raised Nanako, Mimiko, Megumi and Tsumiki together. How would that affect Suguru's younger brother who was left behind to pick up the pieces? Would he join Jujutsu tech with Megumi and the events of the series get alerted, expanded and added upon? Or would he crumble under the curse of generational trauma?

The last part is very much directed at Megumi, who is very much not happy to have her.

Summary
After what unfolded at Bronze Brew, Parker and Astrid both question the status of the rocky friendship they share. The one they have attempted to reconcile after being separated for so many years. This task is proving to be way more emotionally challenging than they could've imagined.
However, when Astrid asks to meet up with them and ask for a complicated favor, Parker knows they don't have it in them to refuse. The very thought of watching her suffer alone through something so trivial makes them realize they will always want to be there to help her out when she needs them. This helps give them some guidance for their complicated relationship. Because it's clearly something they both cherish and don't want to see go down in flames.
Throughout this book, we also see what challenges the rest of the Riveras are going through without Parker there. This book also will explore Angie's background as she struggles with her sense of belonging.

A direct sequel to a long fall
Now that the Joker's gone to ground, Birdie's faced with the unpleasant task of healing from the torture they sustained in New York City. Not only that, but they're faced with the prospect of finding a way to move past the fact that Bruce thinks that they're a rogue waiting to happen. Further complicating matters is the fact that they're moved back to Gotham, they can't seem to find a way to talk to Damian without fighting, and everything else seems to be going wrong in their life. All they can do is take things a day at a time, and fight to find a way to get better.
A character study in broken birds, families, and how healing can still be possible, even when it seems unlikely.
