It connects, when Childes gaze rakes across him, and he remembers that he is still part-transformed, with scales on his skin and glowing marks on his arms, mixing with the black that sharpens into claws at the end of his fingers. And there are the horns, curling out from his head, the tail that slithers out from the end of his spine.

Summary
