Summary
Making fake records and adoption papers to adopt Atsushi is definitely not something kunikida is proud of, yet still, there was something stopping him from trying to get Dazai to think of another way. It doesn't take Ranpo’s genius to know that if they turned Atsushi in with the information they had, it wouldn't go well. Though the kid didn’t deserve to be living in the ADA’s clinic anymore.
OR: We get a bit of absolute garbage writing for Kunikida's past self, and foraging legal papers to keep Atsushi off the government's radar.

Summary
While 8 years old, little Atsushi is kicked out of his orphanage. Left to stave and fend for himself. That is until he ‘saved’ an older man from drowning in Tokyo’s Tamagawa Canal. Said man worked at a place called the Detective Agency with his very loud partner. Apparently they were looking for a white tiger. It couldn't be the same tiger after him right?
