Summary
If you stare into the light for too long, it blinds you.
If you stand in the light for too long, it burns you.Izuku finds the dark a much more comforting place. In the shadows, he finds acceptance.
Then the dark is just…haven. Home.
(It was never about dying. It was about feeling safe again.)*second chapter is not necessary, but acts as a continuation of the first chapter and includes both fluff and a sadder, angrier ending.

Summary
Izuku is quirkless, but that doesn't explain why he can't seem to stay dead.
He always gets a choice, between two doors. One to move on. One to stay behind (to stay alive).
There’s some days he doesn’t want to come back, and the longer he spends in that room between two doors, he thinks that that part of him is right. He’s still got a list of what he wants to get done first, but when push comes to shove...Izuku will fall first.
(Home has not been alive in a long time).
(Izuku has always been good at saving everyone except himself.Even in death, he is a miracle).

There’s a crowd watching the stage he stands on. He hears them, the whisper of fabric, the low murmur and brushing of hands. Money exchanging hands. His hand doesn’t waver.
Why don’t we raise the stakes?
Otherwise known as: Izuku plays Russian Roulette as a form of highly illegal entertainment for an anonymous crowd gambling on his life. He doesn’t have much to lose.
