Summary
Dean Winchester knows his arm will never have a soul mark because he doesn't have a soulmate. There's no one he can blame but himself. He begged the universe not to slap one on his arm, but he was young and stupid. Plus he certainly hadn't meant he never wanted one, he just wanted to have fun in college. But the universe had listened, too well. Dean accepted he wouldn't meet his soulmate and his relationships went up in flames. Dean was okay with it despite what his friends and family may think.
Castiel Novak was a dreamer, and always had his head in the clouds. He dreamed of the day he would meet his soulmate. Where it would happen, what his soul mark would look like, and who the person would be. The one thing Castiel was certain of was that no matter who they were, Castiel would love them. At the age of thirty-five, he still hadn't met his soulmate yet, but that was okay. Castiel would patiently wait for them.
When the two cross paths, it goes nothing like how either of them planned.

Dean had a simple plan: Pretend to work at Sandover when he was never hired, and woo Cas. It should be an in-and-out thing. By the time anyone realized he didn't work there, he'd have Cas's number and would never show his face again at Sandover. All he had to do was pretend to hit numbers on his keyboard until he won the alpha over. Dean was used to lying and knowing when to pull out. But what would happen if the lies become too deep?

Jaskier glanced towards Geralt apprehensively; his head lolled back. If he was conscious, he gave no sign of it.
"I want you to bond him."
Jaskier jerked, staring at the man in horror. "No."
Soul-bonding was intimate, a moment reserved in private between two people who had decided to share every joy and every sorrow. They would feel each other's pain, know if the other was on the brink of death. It was a bond that could only be forged with good intention, with the purest motive. There was no way to undo it. Bonding Geralt would mean surrendering half his soul to the Witcher, to experiencing every pain, and every woe. But worse than that. Witchers didn't have souls. Jaskier would be throwing away the greatest connection he could ever experience, for a man who would never be able to return it. Jaskier was romantic enough to admit that he wanted a romance of the ages, and a bond of certainty.
