Legundo walked down the vaguely marked path. The only indication that they were still following the path was the small scuff marks on the ground. He let out a needless breath, glancing over at his fledgling, Abolish, whose dark bronze gaze was flicking over the upcoming road. They both entered the town ‘walls’ having each a very different reaction to the humans that seemed to inhabit this place, Oakhurst. Legundo's eyes snapped to the nearest human, his eyes widening before returning to a calm smile. Abolish had licked his lips, his fangs peaking through slightly, then continued on with the reserved and watchful expression.

Now though, Pearl was feeling crazy. It had been weeks, if not months, since she last felt the thrill of a good hunt.
Pearl was also lost. She didn’t know where she was or what direction she was heading in, but she didn’t care.
”We should eat.” Said the voice in her head.
Pearl realised she was also hungry, even if she didn’t want to let her be right. But it’s not like she could do anything about it! She didn’t hear any animals near her, and no edible plants in sight.
Then she saw a stone structure at the edge of her horizon. Humans? Maybe. She wasn’t sure, but it was her best bet. So she started walking, hoping for any trace of life.

“No, someone we don’t know,” Avid said, and now Legundo could see the genuine worry in Avid’s eyes. “Pearl and Pyro ran into him when they were on their way to town— over by the tower, in the middle of the lake,” and already that seemed so long ago, although it was only the day before. “He was cutting down the tree, and uh. I don’t know, isn’t that weird?” Avid asked, his voice pitching up plaintively on the end under Legundo’s silent regard.
