“Appa, are you okay?” Biyoo’s expectant eyes glance directly into his. They practically glow with concern, and he can’t resist the urge to ruffle her hair again.
She blinks as he does so, turning her head in confusion. Her lips turn downwards in a pout, her brow furrowing.
Ah. She is so damn cute. No matter how much time he spent with her, he couldn’t get enough of it.
“Appa is okay,” he says, smiling. “See?” He turns his palm and smiles. “Appa is completely fine.”
Though the future won't change the past, Kim Dokja knows it'll at least heal the wounds that have scabbed over.
