Summary
Set in a 2025 AU, with Ilya and Shane both in their late twenties, this story follows Ilya Rozanov as he crosses paths with Shane Hollander — and and starts paying attention. It begins with a silent disco, then brunch, then more and more stolen moments.
In which Rose is a fan of Shane, Shane has a podcast, and Ilya notices freckles. Canon divergent in that Shane had to step away from Hockey and therefore did not meet Ilya until much later in their lives.
The slow burn is real, but so is the longing and yearning.

Summary

Shane put his head between his knees and tried to breathe. God, Boston. They hated him there; it was so far away; he was fucking their captain.
