Summary
ABSTRACT:
Fanfiction, or the practice of writing fiction about characters from a specific movie, TV show, or book is a practice that has existed for decades. Commonly attributed to the fanzines created by Star Trek fans in the 1960s, fanfiction has become an international phenomenon. Fanfiction is largely shared online and as a result, my research was conducted in an online setting. After speaking to eleven Star Trek fans who read or write fanfiction and reading the stories they selected for me to illustrate their interests, I have concluded that fanfiction is larger than its written works. Fanfiction is a community and a vessel for social commentary. My findings show how online communities are just as complicated as in-person communities, as well as how further studies of fanfiction communities may provide insight into how individuals regulate informal communities. -

And now Jim was on his way to Vulcan.Surak's teachings don't take a hold in Vulcan society for over a hundred years. Now, new to peace, Vulcan is looking for admission to the Federation. But fear and stubborn hearts are digging their feet into the sand, threatening the fragile peace that has been created.
Despite all that, this remains a love story. -

Summary
Spock considers himself generally indifferent to the idea of physical contact. Through a mixture of his culture and personal disposition, he has never had a need for the brief touches and lingering grips that humans often yearn for.
And then something (someone) happens to change all of that.

Summary
Zuko choked on a sob and, impossibly, Lu Ten’s ghost gripped his hand tighter.
“I’m here, baby cousin, I’m here.” Said the ghost of Lu Ten, and Zuko felt warm fingers brush gently across his scalp, carding through Zuko’s sweat-soaked hair.
“M’ sorry that you’re dead,” Zuko wept, pressing his head feverishly into the touch, “I miss you. I miss you so much.”
Featuring a still very much alive Lu Ten, the slow revival of Zuko's self esteem, and how ending a war begins at home.

Summary
Everything happened in the space of a breath.
The Yu Yen archer’s arrow arced through the air, aimed to strike Zuko squarely between his eyes.
The Avatar began to glow, rising into the air as Zuko’s clothes rustled from a strong wind.
Boom.
The wind stopped.
The glow went out.
The Avatar fell into Zuko’s arms.
—When Aang is struck by the Yu Yen Archer’s arrow, Zuko goes from being the Avatar’s capturer to the Avatar’s caretaker. But it’s fine! He’s just biding his time. Fetching frogs for the Avatar’s friends while he waits is only logical.
But… the Avatar seems to be getting weaker. If Zuko doesn’t do something, there may not be an Avatar to capture.
