Summary
Arthur—a well-off biomedical engineer who designs artificial joints—has been lusting after Merlin in the gym but never thought to actually make a move. Then his flatmate Gwaine makes a move instead, and suddenly Merlin is around their flat all the time, funny and gorgeous and no longer available.
Arthur can almost deal with that, but then his sister goes and ruins their father’s career and blows up their entire family in the process, and Arthur can’t deal with anything anymore. Not his job, and especially not Merlin, who is frustratingly kind and supportive. And who invites Arthur along on his business trip to Canada so that Arthur can get away from the drama.

He reconnects with a uni friend, Gwaine, who happens to live with Arthur, the guy Merlin has been eyeing at the gym. Things with Gwaine are fun and hot, and it’s only a little awkward whenever he has to interact with Arthur. But then they keep interacting more and more, and, soon enough, they are good enough friends that Merlin feels compelled to invite Arthur with him on a trip back to Canada.

When a conversation around the campfire one night turns to the topic of dirty talk during sex, the knights proceed to try and outdo one another at it, yielding some truly hilarious attempts. Merlin's roped in after a fashion because the knights reckon it'd be golden to hear Merlin talking dirty, only Merlin turns out to have the filthiest mouth in their company, getting everyone squirming barely minutes into his session.
Arthur's more affected than he'd like to admit, and finds he can't stop thinking about it later even in the tent that he's sharing with Merlin...
