Summary
The rising prejudice against Dark families drives the Peverell family into hiding, and as far as everyone else is concerned, their family gift died with the last living heir, Justus Peverell, four centuries ago.
Four centuries ago, Joseph Potter entered British Wizarding society as a Light wizard, and as far as everyone else was concerned, the man is the first of his line. He has no wealth to speak of, no bloodline gift to pass on, and a surname common enough in the muggle world to turn up the noses of socialites with too much time on their hands.

Summary
When two boys, twins known for getting in trouble, came to Hogwarts, they were sorted based on the attributes they showed. They were put in Slytherin because they wanted to prove themselves and had overwhelming ambition. The Sorting Hat didn't even ponder the other houses.
When Harvey "Harry" Lillian Potter sees a letter addressed to him, he immediately shoves it through the door of his cupboard to read for later. This spurs a series of events ending in Harry finding his own way to Diagon. Therefore, Harry explores as much as he likes and makes a few discoveries along the way.
When Lady Malfoy finds none other than Heir Potter himself buying a certain selection of books, she decides that he may not be a lost cause. She makes the final world-changing decision; she was going to take absolute care in making sure that the young heir never fell under Dumbledore's manipulative thumb.
Or, the fic I always wanted to read, but none ever had all the right components. A few have Fred and George in focus, others have the politics of heirship and tradition, and some have a magic goddess and take a deep dive into the magic and its history. I hope to write something that encompasses all of this.
