Summary
They've both wanted this for a long time, but Vi always has trouble coming to terms with herself and what that means in relation to her sister. A house party is a great place for a teen to figure something like that out. Unfortunately she cant' go on that kind of self discovery journey when she'd got promises she keeps breaking.
Seems like she might need to improvise.

Summary
Vi wakes up out of nowhere, frowning when she realizes that the world is still pitch black. Her sister is dead to the world, her face buried in Vi’s chest while she softly snores, and for a moment, Vi almost closes her eyes and goes back to sleep, lulled back into soft slumber by the cool breeze and Powder’s radiating warmth.

Summary
Vi needs her to be strong—to prove she can handle herself in the hard world her big sister has to raise her in. Like Vi always says, Powder is weak enough that she’ll lose every fight she ever gets in—she doesn’t need to do her opponents a favor and do it on purpose. She’s certainly doomed to lose to her sister, but she might as well put up a proper fight, show that she can at least make Vi work for it.
Powder's come a long way.

Vi spends years locked away in Stillwater plotting on how she’ll get her revenge on Silco and his merry group of goons; in the moments that she doesn’t spend coming up with a thousand ways to enact her vicious, bloody vengeance, Vi thinks of her sister and makes a thousand more plans in her mind for all the things that the two of them will do as soon as she frees herself from the thick walls of her concrete cell. Years pass with Vi spending hours imagining the way her precious little sister will look, the way she’ll smile when Vi swoops down on her and scoops her up to carry her away to safety. She spends every free moment imagining the way her sister will look at her with love and affection and that same, easy joy when they’re finally reunited, and it’s one of the only things that keeps Vi alive throughout years of abuse and abandonment and isolation.
