His brow is heavily furrowed in a furious scowl, but she knows her brother, and underneath the scowl she can see genuine fear. He wants to know the truth, but he is afraid of what Wei Wuxian might say.
Wei Wuxian has totally disappeared inside of himself, silent and vacant-eyed, also clearly full of fear. Neither of them want this conversation, but now that the scar has been witnessed, they both know there is no going back until the whole truth has been revealed. They cannot just pretend that they do not know.
It’s inevitable, in a terrible way. Perhaps it always was.
