"Hey, why don't we go for a swim?" Barty called out loudly, already stripping from his shirt.
"Bee, you're way too drunk to go swimming." Evan tried to stop him.
"I don't think it's a good idea, we've all been drinking." Pandora frowned hesitantly.
"I haven't." Reggie shrugged. Not like he could in his current situation.
"But I think it's going to rain..."
They all turned to the sky. Still not a single cloud, just a vast darkness and shimmering stars competing with the moonlight.
"Don't be paranoid, Panda." Marlene laughed and pulled Dorcas with her, all but running for the black waters.
"We'll be fine, come on." Siri winked, interlocking his hand with Remus and trailed after them.
"Amor?" Jamie asked expectantly. His glasses had been put away, safely tucked with the rest of his clothes.
"Fine." Reggie rolled his eyes fondly, tuning back to Pandora and Lily. "Are you two coming?"
"I think I'm more comfortable here." Pandora gave him a queasy smile. Then, with a frown, she added quietly. "Be careful, Reg."
Reggie gave her a reassuring smile over his shoulder.
"I'll be right back."

Summary
That was all it took for Jayce; the shift in Viktor’s breathing, that small sound, and the frantic movement, for even in the profound depths of his sleep, to be pulled almost instantly from his dreams.
“V?” Jayce's voice was a sleep-roughened rumble, thick with immediate concern. His large arm, which was draped over Viktor’s waist, tightened protectively. “What’s wrong?”
“No… nothing, dear. Everything is fine. I am… I am simply being ridiculous.”
Jayce shifted, rising onto one elbow so he could look down at Viktor’s face in the faint moonlight filtering through the burrow’s entrance. His dark hair was mussed, his formidable horns casting long shadows on the woven walls. His expression was soft and all traces of sleep were gone, replaced by utter focus.
“Tell me,” he urged. His free hand came up to stroke Viktor’s cheek, and his thumb wiped away a stray, traitorous tear.
“It's a craving,” Viktor whispered. “A stupid, impossible one. Go back to sleep.”
Jayce’s face softened into a small smile. “What does my heart desire?”

Summary
“What matters brings you here, Councilor?”
The councilor smiled, but Viktor didn’t know what to make of that smile. He sometimes had difficulty understanding people’s true intentions when they weren’t clear with their words, and now Jayce seemed particularly secretive about his intentions. In any case, getting lost along the way was no longer an option, judging by the way he shook his head and walked with determined steps to stand in front of Viktor.
His body froze as he felt a finger holding his chin up, forcing him to look into his eyes.
Golden, warm, burning.
“I wanted to see with my own eyes the scientist who created such incredible work.” He said in a low voice, his skin light against Viktor’s, and yet the smaller man found himself unable to pull away from him. “I didn’t imagine he’d be so cute.”

“The doctor is ready to see you now,” the receptionist called, waving Viktor through to the doctor’s office. Viktor fidgeted in a nervous habit and smiled tightly but politely as he grabbed his cane for support and passed through the doors into the hallway.
It looked like any other doctor’s office he’d ever been to - offprint magazines in the waiting room, a clean, professional patient’s room with an examination table in the center, and various medical ephemera that made Viktor sweat even knowing none of it was necessarily going to be used on him. Over the years, Viktor had been to dozens of check ups in patient’s rooms just like this one, the only difference was that Dr. Talis only attended to a very particular patient clientele.
