Summary
Arya has returned to the House of Black and White and Jaqen finds that this turn of events will test his will and his vows like never before. She is back to complete her training after being gone for a year and a half. Her beseechment to return has been accepted by The Elder of the Order, but it comes with a curious request from Arya. Jaqen is to be her sole mentor, she will accept no one else. He finds that this perfectly suits him, but will he be able to hold back his desires until she becomes a master of their ways? Can she? Or will they break a very important rule, that could give them consequences of a dire sort?

She moves softly, quietly, with the care of a mouse, but he still hears the patter of her boots against the floor, the sound of fabric shifting as her cloak sways with her movements; the whistle as something cuts through the air with violent trajectory towards his head. He reaches behind himself and catches the staff before it can crack into the base of his skull; the skin of his palm stings with the force, and when he turns to glance over his shoulder, eyebrow raised, he spies a disappointed frown cross Arya's face before she smothers it.
"A girl would give her comrade a concussion before the dead arrive," he observes wryly, releasing the staff and turning back to face the window once more.
