Dipper and Mabel had finally done it; they'd finally managed to convince their parents to let them visit Gravity Falls for Halloween.
Was it a good idea? Probably not! Did they care? No!
It didn't matter that they were almost too old to trick-or-treat, that they were missing school, that given how terrifying the Summerween Trickster was it was almost guaranteed that if anything came out on Halloween it would be much worse.
They were going to have the time of their lives; and hopefully not die trying.

They were supposed to find peace.
That was the deal. He Who Remains could do his thing, and Loki and Sylvie could take their friends and live out their days on Midgard. They would get their apple-pie life.
Then the world turns black and white, Mobius and Hunter B-15 become completely different people overnight, and Loki and Sylvie have to suffer through some real-life sitcom bullshit for just a glimmer of hope that maybe they’ll get their friends back.

Summary
The first cage he finds has a sign on it.
It’s made out of old driftwood and it reads: “Deadly! Do not open!”
Stan reads it a few times. The words have been written with red paint which has smeared across the sign in a few places. The writing is hasty and barely legible, as if it was done in a moment of great hurry or panic. The red paint and the occasional splatters make it look like blood and the numbness in Stan’s brain recedes long enough for him to snort a derogatory laugh and roll his eyes.
His brother can be so dramatic.

After the portal incident, Stan frees all of Ford's specimen. He thinks that's the end of it.
He couldn't have been more wrong.
