    Aizawa held up the torn page, raising a brow at Izuku. The panic that seized the boy’s bones was icy, as his mind scrambled for some kind of excuse or explanation.

    “Midoriya,” the teacher began, his voice unnaturally rough. “Where did you learn this name?”

    Or; Izuku is traumatised and he’s seeing ghosts. His classmates, and eventually his teachers, notice that something’s off about him.

    Unfortunately, so do the spirits.

    “Hmm,” Shōta hums, all of Nedzu’s training scurrying to the forefront of his mind. Careful, careful, his old sensei’s voice hums in his ear, you don’t want to startle your prey. “Not many people know Underground Heroes, especially not me.”

    “I-I,” that stutter is back in full force along with a fresh wave of red across those cheeks, “I’m a-an analyst so I-I read a lot of your case files.”

    “Kirishima knows too. He actually introduced us.” Katsuki rubbed his face, as if suddenly exhausted, “I had a crush on you since third year, and I needed to get over your straight ass, so I’m doing that. I’ve moved on.”
