Summary
The Voyager Virtual Season 7.5 group formed in response to the way the series' season 7 played out. Our goal was to redo Voyager's seventh and final season to fit our vision of what could have been. The first four episodes are set before "Shattered," then we split completely from official canon. Beginning in 2001, episodes appeared on ASC and were then archived on Trekiverse (AO3 didn't exist then). We're posting the series here to reach old and new readers who, hopefully, will enjoy them as much as we did writing them.
“Season 1” of our "Director's Cut" comprises episodes 1-15; “Season 2,” episodes 16-32; and “Season 3," episodes 33-47. Please note that some of the material posted (especially in Season 3) is new, never before posted anywhere, and includes (at last!) a series finale.

Kathryn and Chakotay adjust to Earth and the Alpha Quadrant, meet fascinating people, experience some wonderful (and some not so wonderful) things...
My story 'Dreaming the Life' could be considered a prequel to this, but it's more of a companion piece. Although not immediately apparent, elements of it are woven throughout this one and should be considered required reading.
Also a companion piece, 'Rynna' (a Justin/Kathryn story) is not necessary reading, but it does give a richer feel to the parts that cross over into this one.
Warning - There are a few instances where sexual assault is mentioned. It is never depicted, nor does a character describe details. It's simply a part of the character's history and only the emotional toll is discussed.

Summary
Story written for the VAMB Spring Fling for Cheshire. The request was:
I’d like a story where something has affected the crew making them act out of the ordinary except for one person (for whatever reason) who has to put up with all the nonsense and of course straighten everything out. It can be any rating and lead to whatever situation(s) the writer would like whether dire or humorous or smut.
Well, I’m not sure if I got it completely.
(Weird title, which is supposed to be a variation of “in vino veritas” (in wine is truth) to be “in sickness truth” but it could mean Latin for “my car is rusty”. Ah, babelfish, I love you.)
