And not a soul could convince the king a fool is to not be trusted. Not even the jester himself... For what could one say to a king, soon to go down in history as the emperor of the continent? If he laughed: "let the jester jest", they would. If he said: "the fool stays during war planning", he would. And if commanded: "protect Buggy from any sword and arrow", so it would be done.

Summary
Buggy the Star Clown was old and infamous. The third Pirate King title was practically within his grasp. But instead, he died at 74, only to wake up in a grimy apartment. Being a broke 25-year-old wasn’t exactly the afterlife he’d expected.
Then Buggy finds him - a tiny, ravenous boy, digging through a trash bin. This world’s Luffy doesn’t know him, but Buggy knows him. And like it or not, his reinvention now includes trying to feed a surprisingly resilient street child and figuring out how to keep his perpetually messy hair somewhat contained.
If there’s one thing Buggy knows, it’s how to survive.
Armed with a stolen second chance, a smartphone full of bizarre new rules and a kitchenette that’s seen better days, he’ll carve a new legacy - one chaotic livestream at a time.
(Or: Reincarnated Buggy decided to grace the internet with his presence, and, naturally, fame followed. Though, even he admits the sheer adoration is a bit much. And the real plot twist is becoming a single dad to a trash-goblin Luffy.)
This is not a grand adventure. There is no epic quest, but just the slow, awkward process of rebuilding a life.

And with good reason too! They broke up almost two decades ago, but they keep falling back together every so often. They have never officially gotten back together again, but there have been times--
