Summary
Growing up, Hermione had always been told she was enough. If she worked hard and did what she loved, everything else would fall into place.
Years after the Battle of Hogwarts, and now as a Ministry employee, Hermione sees how little has changed. Behind the post-war promises, prejudice against people like her permeates deep, even a war hero.
As the strain of her job takes precedence, cracks in her lifelong friendships begin to show, and Hermione realises she both needs and deserves more. A chance encounter with Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass provides her with something she never thought she would feel again: a sense of belonging.
When a DMLE orchestrated mission ends in disaster, the cracks become chasms. Alone and spiralling with her self-preservation in tatters, solace finds her unexpectedly in the form of Draco Malfoy. Now under the wings of five overly-protective Slytherins, Hermione begins to discover who she really is outside of the Golden Trio.
Plans begin to emerge for Pansy’s Hogwarts Reunion Party and Hermione finally feels in control, until the night swiftly dissolves into pandemonium.

As a woman in her early thirties chasing down a Quidditch player to sign divorce papers, she thinks she deserves to do something for herself.
