Shit. Shit. I panicked. I was standing in the middle of our bedroom, and had just sent Edward out on an errand, to give myself some time to do something, anything, but there was no telling how soon he would be back. My thoughts were in a whirlwind as I stewed over my next steps.
Plan. I needed a plan. They already had a plan, I was sure of it. I knew what they wanted to do, and I wasn’t going to let them. They weren’t going to take away my choice, not this time, not about this.
There was no point in trying to convince them, I knew they wouldn’t listen. It was the look in Edward’s eyes that convinced me of that, I recognized that look too well.
