“You'll take your punishment in silence,” Hanguang-jun says. He doesn’t let go of Wei Wuxian’s wrist, not even as he stands to round the low desk. Wei Wuxian’s heart is beating so fast he thinks he might be the one to faint now. He doesn’t dare look at Hanguang-jun’s face. His eyes sting with tears. Just what’s wrong with him today? He’s not usually this sensitive.
Hanguang-jun’s hand is big and warm, it dwarfs Wei Wuxian’s skinny wrist in its hold. Its grip is tight enough that Wei Wuxian knows it’ll leave a mark, but it loosens slightly once Hanguang-jun sits behind him. His posture is perfect—his back straight, his shoulders held back primly. He easily towers over Wei Wuxian’s smaller figure.
“Wei Ying doesn't know how to prepare his ink,” Hanguang-jun shifts his hold from Wei Wuxian’s wrist to his hand, engulfing it in its warmth, “So I shall teach him.”
