Summary
What if Edwina decides to still marry Anthony when she calls Anthony and Kate to the Church altar. Kate returns to India, but now Anthony and Edwina have to live with the consequences of their actions. They have to try to make things work. WARNING – they do try for kids, but what if some people are just not meant to be...?
In this version, everything is the same up until the meeting in the Church, except Edwina never said the half-sister comment to Kate. Edwina is not evil here. Just gets pressured into proceeding with the wedding with everything (I really can’t see how they could have backed out at that stage! Massive error to have let s2 get that far!).
*NOT* an Edwina hate fic. But she made a bad decision in the heat of the moment, and has regrets.

What if at AH, Edwina realised she & A weren't suited, but she needed a way out of the courtship that didn't risk her reputation. Cue Edwina throwing Kate under the bus
Edwina closed her eyes again, but this time genuine tears began to fall as she betrayed her sister in the worst way possible. As loudly as she could without being obvious, but so at least those nearby could clearly hear her, Edwina spoke. “We caught them. Kate and Lord Bridgerton. They were alone in his study…” Edwina paused and closed her eyes before hammering the final nail into her sister’s coffin. “Embracing one another.” And now the tears flowed freely.

This is the result of fic prompts by @iris_bee_: AU - after bee sting K doesn’t come out of her room cause she’s ‘indisposed’ so even tho she’s fine A freaks out & sneaks to check up on her a few times & he sneaked into her room that night to check she was well & K woke up, saw him there 👀 What if [Edwina] found K & A while they were talking outside?👀👀 A bribes a bunch of maids to check up on K & report back to him on how she's doing after the bee sting without being suspicious.

The end credits roll as we see the man identified earlier as Anthony enter an empty room. He adjusts his open collar nervously, as he hears the door open on the other side of a wall opposite his own door. A hypnotising lavalamp light effect is playing on his side of their shared wall, momentarily distracting Anthony from the reason he is sitting in this small, plush room with a stranger on the other side.
“Hello?”
He snaps himself out of the fantasy journey the lights were taking him on. “Errm, hi there. What’s your name?”
“I’m Kathani. What’s yours?”
“Hi Kathani. I’m Anthony, good to meet you.”
Fade to black, credits roll and the “Next episode” button appears.
