“Toms- what’s wrong? Are you okay? Are you hurt??” Phil’s worried voice came from above him, and he can feel a coolness start to envelope his legs. Distantly, he realises he’s being pulled into the water, but he can’t find it in him to care.
“It- it’s my mum- she- she’s going to kill you! Please, please run, please I don’t want her to hurt you-” Tommy babbled, pleas interrupted by hiccups.
“Theseus.” Techno’s comforting monotone cuts through his nonsensical chatter. His presence was grounding, and Tommy instantly felt safer, protected in the grasp of his family.
“I’d like to see her try to hurt us, or you for that matter,” He continued, “You’re safe here, Tommy. Nobody will get to you, not if we have a say in the matter.”---
