“That wasn’t your fault.” Satoru interrupted and appeared in front of her, his hands resting on her knees gently as he crouched down. “You did what you could and thankfully you’re all alright now.”
Nobara shook her head, “No! If I wasn’t so stupid I could’ve helped more. I’m so weak, I can’t stand it!” She pushed her hair back aggressively with her good arm, her hand wrapped tightly around the strands as she glared up at the ceiling, “Fucking Ten Shadows and Sukuna’s Vessel… What the fuck am I compared to them?”
The room was quiet of shock. Suguru, who was about to move to make her release her grip on her hair, remained in his spot, staring at his student with a look of uneasiness. Satoru gripped her knees harder, biting the inside of his cheek.
Shoko felt a wave of deja vu wash through her.
Shoko realizes that Nobara tends to walk into her office without knocking and thinks back to the day it all started. She also realizes she has accidentally taken on a parental role.
