I’m crammed into a burrow so small that my knees are up around my ears and the boom mike keeps slamming into my head, inhaling the potent scent of toffee-apple brandy and trying to drink a talking mouse under the table.

And She Never Wanted To Leave by Kablob, mylordshesacactus

Summary
Kablob's (and sometimes mylordshesacactus's) Cassandra de Rolo-centric Critical Role fics. I generally use more of the animated continuity structure-wise while incorporating stream things where appropriate—inevitably my mental model of CR1 is a fusion of the parts I like best of each.
Anyway I have a lot of feelings about Cassandra "what if Jonathan Harker was a 13-year-old girl and the gothic castle she was trapped in was her own fucking house" de Rolo. Collection title is a lyric from Jenny of Oldstones because for better or worse ASOIAF was formative for me.

Summary
Buffy Summers is dead. Without a protector, the Scoobies summon the remaining Slayer, choosing to hope that they, and Faith, can put aside their past to keep Sunnydale safe.
Then Willow decides that she wants to bring Buffy back.
When Buffy returns, her friends say that she's different, wrong. Faith's hardly saved anyone, much less herself, but soon it's clear that only another Slayer can give Buffy the help that she needs, no matter how much they might hurt each other in the process.

Summary
He fell, and the galaxy kept turning.
Fifteen years after his fall, Luke Skywalker tends his gardens in a Force-null prison on Myrkr: isolated, monitored, and mostly forgotten by the galaxy he once tried to save.
Then Mara Jade shows up dying from a Vong bioweapon, and suddenly the Republic might have a use for a caged Sith Lord after all.
The question is whether Luke Skywalker can be trusted to save the galaxy – or if letting him out will just give them a different kind of apocalypse.
"When have impossible tasks ever stopped me before?"
Or: I present for your enjoyment: "what if the NR took Dark Empire seriously," combined with "what if the Vong War but you ignore all of the EU after Dark Empire," plus "what if dark-ish! Luke during the NJO." If that sounds fun, you are my people.

Summary
In this world, nothing can be said to be certain except …
Or: Mara Jade arrives on Yavin IV expecting to discuss Jedi training, not to find Leia Organa on the brink of murdering her brother over tax forms.
What follows: one (1) Jedi feigning financial illiteracy for the bit, one (1) ex-Imperial assassin drafted into explaining basic economics, and one (1) senator armed with wine and righteous fury.
Also featuring: “Luke Middle Name Skywalker,” the audacity of the water cubit argument, and a brief exploration of how the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy became terrifyingly good at weaponizing sincerity.
