Summary
Xiao Xingchen is an ascended immortal god. He has seen the mortal cultivation world rise, fall, and rebuild countless times. Every time, one thing is the same: the fall of the cultivation world is brought on by Xue Yang, a young man with a difficult childhood, gifted with immense power but filled with rage and resentment. Determined to save the mortal world, Xiao Xingchen has been kind to every reincarnation of Xue Yang, trying to give him a life where he has no reason to cause the destruction he inevitably inflicts. It never works, and the cycle always repeats. Finally, defeated and worn down, he gives up on this approach and lets fate run its course with no interference. Xue Yang is not his fault, nor his responsibility, after all.
That is, until Xue Yang ascends to heaven himself with Jiangzai in his hand and murderous intent in his eyes, determined to destroy heaven itself for forsaking him.
