“Y-Yes!” Pac stammers. “I’m— I’m Melissa’s brother. I’m here to, uh, to drop off her bag? She left it at home, and, well, she texted me, and—”
The guard crosses his arms. It’s hard for Pac to keep his eyes up when he sees the fabric of the man’s shirt stretch across his chest like it’s struggling to stay together.
“Nice try,” the man scoffs, and Pac blinks, brows furrowing. “That excuse’s been tried before. None of the dancers are expecting visitors tonight. Get on outta here before I hafta put you on the blacklist.”
In an instant, the engineer is flustered.
