Summary
“What do you mean, he’s gone?” Nancy was looking at him with wide eyes while Paul was already scanning the area far more calmly than TK could in his wild panic.
“I don’t know,” he almost yelled, fear choking him up. “I held his hand like a second ago and then handed him to Marjan–”~*~
All TK wanted to do was spend time with his brother and his fire fam at the Austin Pride Parade, and maybe not think about Carlos and their recent break-up for a few hours. But it seemed little Jonah had his own plans for the day. Especially once he spotted his favorite person…
An alternative reconciliation fic with a slightly older Jonah.

Summary
Carlos hates calls like this.
He hates the walk up the stairs. He hates to knock at the door. He hates how it slowly, way too slowly, opens. He hates the telltale fear in the eyes of the young man who peeks out. He hates the black eye the man is sporting. Hates the dried tracks of tears on his face. Hates the way he’s making himself small.
It is obvious what’s happening here. But no one is saying it out loud. And Carlos can only do something if there’s either direct proof or the victim says something. They never do.
