Law hadn’t thought that this would work. He’d seen photos, sure, but he’d never seen Cora-san as a Marine in real life. He’d thought it might be a little goofy, seeing him play dress up in clothes so different from his usual bulky sweaters and casual jeans. Only, he’s realizing that he was wrong. Maybe the weight of the coat hanging off Cora-san's shoulders is forcing him to stand a little straighter, or maybe it's that he holds his chin higher without his hat. Whatever it is, his new posture gives him an air of command that he doesn’t usually carry. When he says, "On your knees, pirate", there's a certain bite to his tone of voice that activates something deep in Law’s brain.

Law nods his head. At least, he thinks he does. Pleasure has settled throughout his body, thick and heavy, and he’s only half-aware that he’s letting out these tiny, breathless, gratified noises that he wouldn’t be caught dead making under different circumstances, if Cora-san’s contented purring is anything to go by.
“Yeah, that’s right,” his lover says. “That’s exactly what I wanted.”

The accuracy of the question had Luffy’s frown lift in surprise. He blinked. “Yeah…”
Rubbing his chin, lips pursed in thought, his eyes slid from Luffy to Law. “But you haven’t kissed yet?”
It was hard to tell who exclaimed the loudest.

He’s not so naive to believe that his former ally-now-rival-and-something-else-they-don’t-have-a-name-for-yet wouldn’t have changed in the nine months they haven’t seen each other.
And yet, he is still somehow caught off-guard.

The words are spoken with a hint of poetry, making it as if he’s reciting a twisted sense of devotion. It shouldn’t be arousing, but he does it as if it’s a dance.
“Shouldn’t you express your thanks.”
God, the way that easy dominance rolls off him. Law finds it sick to think it’s hot in a moment like this, when he’s so close to death. Thanking a man that has a gun pressed against him, that might very well pull the trigger as soon as he says the words.
“Thank you sir.”
