It feels a little ritualistic as Astarion taps fresh grounds into the smooth wooden pipe for Gale. For he’s never lit a candle and prayed proper, you see, but he thinks the crackle and cherry glow of a pipe under Gale’s fluttering eyes is as good an altar as any. And as he breathes in, Astarion mirrors him. The smell would be overpowering were it not for the wafting sweet panic in Gale’s blood as he chokes himself out so… willingly.
Or: Astarion can’t get high, but that insufferable wizard can. And watching can be just as fun.

Summary
Astarion's a slightly nomadic ethics professor taking up his new post at the storied Blackstaff Academy in Waterdeep. While exploring everything the city has to offer, he tests out a much-lauded dive bar glory hole and has the time of his life. It's impossible to get that sweet, soft voice and that skilled tongue out of his head, but the anonymous person on the other side wishes to remain unknown.
Oh well.
Maybe Astarion's burgeoning crush on his distinguished, older colleague, Professor Dekarios, will keep his mind from wandering towards the unattainable.

Summary
Gatorland is directly on Highway 441, just north of the Orlando-Kissimmee line, 20 minutes from Walt Disney World and Sea World. Astarion’s there for information, not necessarily connections, but he’d also been told to stay open-minded. Specifically, Cazador had told him to keep an eye out for anyone whose scruples are few.
