I know this fic is really long and it looks very intimidating, but I want to assure anyone that's considering reading it: it really is worth it!
This fic was truly the gift that kept on giving. The relationships were great, the dialogue is amazing, the plot is complex but it always makes sense.
Truly a masterclass in time travel fics and a masterpiece in general.

Summary
Most people spend the days after their wedding blissfully in love, maybe on a beach somewhere, reliving their best memories from the blessed day. Grace spends the aftermath of hers in hospital, and the most reliving she gets are the trauma-induced nightmares of her beloved husband and his family trying to brutally murder her to satisfy the literal devil.
Then her dead husband’s dead brother comes back to life, and things get even more complicated. Maybe she should write a self-help book.

Absolutely loved this fic! I'm even a little sad that I couldn't read it all in one sitting because of work. Anyway absolutely recommend, it's fantastic and doesn't jump into the romantic relationship right away. It lets the characters show their problems and trauma and they hel each other out along the way. Fantastic

Grace has lived through this night so many times it's getting hard to keep track. Every night the disaster of her wedding repeats. Every night at the godforsaken table in that game room, she prays that maybe she won't pull Hide and Seek. (She always does). Daniel catches her eyes often and she feels a chill run up her spin. (The devil does love a good game, but every game has rules.)

Summary
He is not brave. He’s a coward. The alcohol doesn’t change that, even if it comes off that way. The alcohol makes him crass and crude. It takes the parts of himself he recognises and stretches them until he’s a caricature of Daniel Le Domas. He’s not the hero of the story, he’s a passive piece of the puzzle just trying to survive. Though, he’s not even sure if it’s worth that anymore. Survival is seeming less and less worth it.
