His teachers were on the other side of the door. He was wearing nothing but one of Katsuki’s shirts, which was loose enough that it fell off one of his shoulders, and pyjama pants with holes in the knees. He still had obvious hickeys on his neck. He was answering the door to what his teachers thought was the Bakugou household very early in the morning, having very obviously spent the night. Like he did every night because he lived there. Only his teachers didn’t know that.
“Oh god,” he said again, this time out loud, starting at the door in front of him. He couldn’t just not open it, right? They’d already seen him, and obviously, they had a reason for being there; they wouldn’t just leave, right?

So when midway through their first year at UA when they were given an assignment that required secretive communication, they knew that they were guaranteed an A. Izuku snaps at Katsuki when he reaches for his hoodies, baring his cute little omega teeth and growling in that tiny, light voice that wasn’t threatening at all.
It still makes Katsuki rip his fingers back out of reach, spine straightening and an odd look cross over his face. Izuku sniffs, unimpressed, and continues into his den, kicking the door closed behind him. Impertinent alpha. The nest wasn’t done. If he knows what’s good for him, he’d stay out of the way until Izuku croons for him.

"Hey, Midoriya," Mina calls. "Have you ever thought about what it'll be like to meet your True Mate?"
Izuku looks over to where Mina is sitting with Ochako, Tsuyu and Kyouka. Mina looks back at him expectantly while Ochako offers a kind, encouraging grin even as her eyebrows are raised in curiosity.
"I, um." His eyes cut to Katsuki slouched in his seat in front of him out of reflex, then back. He offers a shrug. "I can't say I have, Ashido-san."
"What, not at all?" Ochako asks, and she sounds surprised. Which—okay, he's known to be plenty of an idealistic romantic, so it's not odd that she's surprised, but he hadn't thought this in particular would be such a big deal.
True Mates are a hot gossip topic even in top hero schools, it seems.
