Summary
Prowl doesn’t trust easily, it isn’t in his programming, his nature. Trust is a fickle thing, one easily given up at the right price or the pressure. So to not only trust a deception but love him, well it says a lot about his character. Or maybe because he knows that no one knows him better than a mech that's been his Conjunx Endura for millions of years.

The outcome he gets from this union is rather different than what anyone expected.
Tldr: The people of Westerosi have no idea how genetics work, and it kind of ruins Otto’s long-term plans for world domination when the children of Luke and Aemond are born looking more Velaryon than anyone expected.
