Summary
AU where Michelle Jones has been living with her adoptive parents since she was four years old. Having no memories of her real parents, the life among New York's 1% is all she's ever known.
Her mother had died during Michelle's birth and the loss had pushed her father back into drinking, leaving Michelle at an orphanage not long after her second Birthday. Two years later a wealthy young couple, Micheal and Elizabeth Jones, had adopted her. They had quickly grown fond of her and were loving parents, treating her as if she were their biological daughter, but Michelle had never really felt like she really belonged anywhere.
Send to the most expensive private schools, she'd always been an outcast amidst the spoiled kids and their oh so perfect lives. Early on she had started noticing the looks being thrown behind her back by teachers, students and especially parents.
Her life feels like prison cell, holding her back from a world full of possibilities.But when, on an otherwise ordinary day during her last year of highschool, Spider-Man saves her life, everything begins to change.
